Grandaddy Purple

(10 customer reviews)

$90.00$960.00

Introduced in 2003 by Ken Estes, Granddaddy Purple (or GDP) is a famous indica cross between Purple Urkle and Big Bud. This California staple inherits a complex grape and berry aroma from its Purple Urkle parent, while Big Bud passes on its oversized, compact bud structure. GDP flowers bloom in shades of deep purple, a contrastive backdrop for its snow-like dusting of white crystal resin.

Its potent effects are clearly detectable in both mind and body, delivering a fusion of cerebral euphoria and physical relaxation. While your thoughts may float in a dreamy buzz, your body is more likely to find itself fixed in one spot for the duration of GDP’s effects. Like most heavy indica varieties, Granddaddy Purple is typically pulled off the shelf for consumers looking to combat pain, stress, insomnia, appetite loss, and muscle spasms. GDP blesses growers with massive commercial yields which are ready for harvest following a 60 day flowering time indoors.

Good strain for those relaxing afternoons/nights! First hit and few minutes later the euphoria comes in! Then later on you will feel the deep body high afterwards. Happy mood and oh you need the munchies on this one!

This is by far one of my favorite stains. There is something special about purple buds. I love the physical high of this strain, it’s so heavy and relieving. After smoking it, you just sit back and think, “WOW” I am HIGH!

This strain was one of the first k started smoking about 2 weeks into smoking I tried grand daddy purp and I can honestly say at the start of the high it was the best experience as of the time but after I began to feel sick and I couldn’t eat so I belive this would be a good weed to smoke before bed and not a day time weed *also gives you extreme cotton mouth*

As an epileptic, this is my favorite high THC Indica. Calming, hunger inducing, euphoria that actually sticks around for a bit. Works best with just a pull or two from my favorite piece every hour or so, for me.

I’ve had this strain from multiple vendors. I find that this is a good “back up” strain if I can’t find my favorite nighttime buds. It doesn’t work quite as well as my faves, but it def has relaxing properties, and it can mellow out your head pretty well

No circular thoughts before bedtime with GDP. It’s also regularly available pretty much everywhere, so it’s kind of the Stella Artois of weed. It’s good, easily available, and pretty cheap. Good strain for anytime you want a relaxing toke.

One of my favorite indica strains. This helps me relax and to have a great euphoric experience. Tried this in 2012 and thought it was an A-, now I give it an A+. Definitely will be looking for this one more often.

GDP is my absolute favorite indica because it’s everything I want in an indica; I’m happy, a little dreamy, and feel so physically comfortable wherever I am. I love that it slows down both the mind and body. I find myself comparing other indicas to it.
